"The board does not circumvent any copy protection; all signals we do pickup are unprotected. Even the SACD signal is unencrypted but it has to be converted to PCM for compatibility. That's where around 90% of our 1.5 manyears of engineering went...
"
Men disse konverterer altså til PCM før transmisjon.

"There is currently no way to pass an unencrypted stream of DSD out of an SACD player. There are currently a small number of players that offer a Firewire DSD output but the content is encrypted. HDMI 1.2, standardised in 2005, can also carry encrypted DSD, but as of October 2006, there are very few A/V processors that support this (such as the Marantz SR7001), and no SACD players."
"If you intend to copy the signal using our card: Don't mind, rip it directly. In the DVD player you will find a clock line and a data line for every channel pair. Each clock cycle means one bit of audio data. You can easily sample this using a digital sampling card and using some minor documentation and programming skills you can reacreate a WAV file"
