Årets siste Record Store Day er Black Friday 28 november. Om det vil gi rimeligere skiver vites ikke, men har plukket ut tre skiver som muligens blir innkjøpt hvis mulig!
One of the most legendary engagements in jazz history, the Miles Davis Quintet’s stand at The Plugged Nickel in December of 1965 saw Miles, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, and Tony Williams deliver a masterclass in controlled volatility, dismantling tradition and reshaping their language night after night.
The Plugged Nickel recordings document the Second Great Quintet revolutionizing improvisation in real time, welcoming surprise, discarding certainty, and turning “wrong” notes into revelations. Sony Legacy will re-issue a box set of all seven sets of The Complete Plugged Nickel Sessions in January 2026 as a first salvo in a year-long Miles Davis Centennial celebration and will release one of the more blistering complete sets, with over an hour of familiar songs turned inside out including standards like “All Of You” and “My Funny Valentine” and Miles originals like “So What“ or “Agitation”, as a 2LP release on black vinyl for RSD Black Friday.

In 2009, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers released “The Live Anthology”, a box set of live material that encompassed the band's career up to that point. With a track list curated by Tom Petty himself, the release became an instant fan favorite. A very limited edition format was also released that included a bonus CD with 14 additional tracks featuring Petty classics, rarities and cover versions. These 14 tracks are now being released on vinyl for the first time.
