I sannhet mye lekkert, men er det noen som aner noe om de benyttede masterne? Platene er "meticulous in the packaging and pressing ", men jeg blir alltid litt skeptisk når det ikke står noe om opphavet.............

Så da blir det en bunke i August og en ny bunke i Oktober da....

"Universal Japan has just announced another batch of sure-to-be-collectible LPs. Mastered from the original analog tapes and pressed by the Japanese, known forever for their absolutely perfect, meticulous, spot-on pressings, here's your chance to own special versions of these classic Universal records. A warning to procrastinators: These are gonna be collectible and Universal Japan says they'll only be pressed once. In other words, don't delay unless you'd rather pay through the nose later."

Da sitter AS inne med info som er ukjent for Elusive, fikk følgende svar fra dem: "We have requested any available information regarding the source for the Japanese LPs, but our supplier does not have any information at this time. Their reply stated that they will provide any information as it becomes available."

Så spørs det hva som ligger i original analog tapes da....

Dette diskuterte vi også når den første "ladningen" preorders ble presentert i vinter en gang, tror vi ble enige om å vente å se og håpe på det beste

HVis disse er i nærheten av hva Japanerne gjorde i gamle dager når det gjelder vinyl er de definitivt verdt å ha! Etter min mening kan japanske LP pressinger regnes som audiofile. Fantastisk taus vinyl og ypperlig mastering jobb. Jeg kjøper Japanske pressinger når jeg kan.

Her ett utdrag om hvordan Fonè gjør det.

"Giulio Cesare Ricci, proprietor of Fone, is a man of uncompromising standards. The requirements of a Japanese pressing plant that he send a copy of the analog master tapes rather than the original tapes themselves were unacceptable to him. Therefore, he used a cutting lathe, connected to an Ampex machine, to create the master lacquers from which the stamper for this pressing was made."
