Ikke akkurat moderne innspilling, men anmelderen gjør i alle fall et poeng ut av den gode lyden.

This is in every way a remarkable CD. Not only are the performances fused with a poetic inspiration seldom encountered in the recording studio, but the sound-quality is uniformly first rate. Kyung Wha Chung and Radu Lupu treat the Franck in an unhurried and thoughtful manner that allows the lyricism of the work to take pride of place. In the Debussy Violin Sonata Chung's superb instrumental craft reminded me of Heifetzher directness is disarming. Yet it is the subtlety and atmosphere of the music that make the biggest impact. The Ravel and the Debussy Sonata for flute, viola and harp, though recorded some 15 years earlier, have come up with a pristine freshness here. There is not a musician in the country with a more natural fluency than Osian Ellis, and together with the delicately sensitive contributions of the other players, the performances make for some compelling listening.'
