I dag kom turen til plata "Still Harry after all these years" - Harry James and his big band.
Jeg er ikke akkurat på knærne etter Big band musikk, men denne plata tar kaka mtp. innspilling, og dynamikk
Dette er en Sheffield Lab "Direct to disc" plate.

"TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Recorded in Wylie Chapel March 26th trough March 30th. 1979. One stereo microphone utilizing Sheffiels Lab`s transformerless tube electronics was employed for overall coverage of the band. A touch-up microphone using Sheffiels Lab solid state slectronics was used on the piano, and a Telefunken 251 was utilized on the acoustic bass. All microphones featured captules manufactured by AKG. The signal was sent via cable 740 feet to The Mastering Lab and fed directly into tube cutting amplifiers. The lacquer masters where meticulously processed to metal by pur newly constructed matrix division. All stampers used for the pressing of this record are manufactured by Sheffield Lab. To best appreciate the wide dynamic range of this record, please turn your playback level up. Phonograph cartridges with excelent tracking ability should be used.
