"cartridges with typical mounting hole to stylus distances of +/- 9.5mm"

"The distance of stylus to mounting holes doesn't seem to be standardised, but you should set up the correct overhang for the arm's effective length."
http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/analogue-source/53536-diy-tonearm-questions.html
"PS If you need the mounting distance you may be able to get an idea by measuring the effective length - the distance from the pivot point to the stylus tip when a standard cartridge (with 9.5mm from mounting holes to tip) is mounted centrally in the slots."

"There are some if not a lot of cartridges that dosnt have a long enough cantilever to reach the Baerwald alignment, when using the Rega RB arms.
Both my Ortofon Rondo Blue and my Transfiguration Phoenix will not reach the overhang of 18mm that Bearwald uses to aling its null points..."

AT33PTG:
"Anyway, according to the AT33PTG leaflet which I have in front of me, the mounting hole to stylus tip dimension is 9mm."

Fra Stereophile:
"When it came to setting overhang in the Aro's nonadjustable headshell, I saw that the distance from Titanium's stylus to its mounting-hole was about 1mm longer than the "Linn standard"meaning that a tenacious owner could probably get overhang dead-on by using the small amount of play in the fit between an LP12's subchassis and armboard to his or her advantage."
http://www.stereophile.com/content/brinkmann-emt-titanium-phono-cartridge
"The headshell doesn't carry the usual slots. It is pre-drilled with three holes for the Linn Troika's and Arkiv's three-point fixing, other cartridges making use of only two of the holes provided. Naim believes that the extra structural rigidity given by a less mutilated headshell structure is preferable to the overhang adjustment possibilities afforded by the slots. Paranoids can get a good machine shop to (very, very carefully) drill some extra holes. Linn cartridges have a mounting-hole-to-stylus distance of about 7mm; in most other cartridges, this distance is about 10mm. The new holes should thus sit about 3mm behind the original ones. I must admit, I don't think overhang is all that critical an adjustment."

Noen oppgir at det passer, men uten å oppgi selve målet....
"Naim Aro users should note that Te Kaitora has the correct stylus point to mounting hole distance for their arms."
http://www.needledoctor.com/Dynavector-TE-Kaitora-Cartridge
