Rega OEM 1
The OEM version of the RB250 is known as the OEM 1. The arm rest bears no Rega branding and an alternative manufacturers mark can be found on the bias housing. In the case of the NAD version of the arm the plastic bias knob and cap on the counterweight are moulded in red plastic instead of green or black. Versions of the arm have been marketed as the Moth Arm 1, Audio Note Arm 1, Origin Live OL1 etc

Michell TechnoArm
The Michell TecnoArm is a serious reworking of the Rega OEM 1 tonearm with many unique features:
The arm tube is bead blasted to harden the surface and a series of holes drilled into the underside to disperse structural resonance's and reduce weight.
The arm tube is then filled with foam to further reduce resonance's; The headshell is machined flat to ensure accurate azimuth in relation to the bearings; The arm is wired with single runs of silver litz from silver plated cartridge tags to silver plated phono plugs; A Michell TecnoWeight is fitted in place of the standard plastic stub / steel counterweight; A Michell VTA adjuster is fitted to the base; Following reassembly the arm bearings are readjusted to ensure optimum adjustment.

Dette blir den tredje RB250 varianter jeg har.
Jeg begynte engang i tiden med den orginale på en planar 2, deretter byttet jeg denne ut med Origin Live OL-1 som var langt bedre enn den orginale.
Noen år med Luxman, Marantz 6300, Linn LP 12, Mørch DP-6 og noen Philips og Dual.
Jeg vurderer sterkt og få montert på Techno arm på LP 12, men den må da inn til kontrapunkt for justering av bounce og nytt armbord.
Igår strammet jeg armbasen til Mørch skikkelig og tok en ny runde med fin innstilling med protractor, vta og stift trykk så det hele tightet selg til i lydbildet.
Jeg tror Lyra Dorian trives bedre i Michell armen enn i Mørch da mørch er en di-pivot arm og Michell har "rigid bearings".
