Her er svaret jeg fikk fra Base-techology:
Furutech`s RWL-1 var originalt utviklet av Mr. Ishiguro i fra A/Revive
A/Revive spurte Furutech om de kunne produsere panelene under A/Revive varenavn (OEM produksjon)
Front stoffet :
A/Revive bruker high-tech. silke, silke gjør lyden mere naturlig
Furutech bruker kjemisk fiber som front stoff. Silke er også sterkere enn kjemisk fiber.
Rammen :
A/Revive bruker ekte tre som ramme.
Furutech bruker plastikk ramme
Overnevnte er en del av mail jeg fikk i fra LEBEN / A/Revive den 7 mars 2007
Prisen bilir ca 3600 kr. for A/Revive RWL-2
Furutech koster 3500 kr, men er i utgangspunktet ett billigere produkt.

Litt mer utdybende:
Furutech's RWL-1 was originally developped by Mr.Ishiguro of A/Revive
and asked Furutech to produce with A/Revive brand name(OEM production).
However, RWL-1 received from Furutech was not same as A/revive's
design and was very low quality(A/Revive could not sell it in Japan).
Therefore, A/Revive started to produce the same product in Japan as
a model No. RWL-2 with fully natual materials.
Meanwhile, Furutech started to produce RWL-1 in China with Furutech
brand name without acceptance by A/Revive.
This is the story.
Therefore, there are big difference of the quality between Furutech's
RWL-1 and A/Revive's RWL-3 as under:
The front cloth
---------------
The material is the world's first high-technology silk originally
produced for A/Revive in order to make the sound more natural.
They gave silkworms a special food that mixed Tolmarin, then
produced a quite new silk containing Tolmarin from the beginning.
(This silk costs about 30 times more than normal pure silk)
Furutech is using a chemical fiber for the front cloth.
Besides, the front silk is much thicker and stronger than chemical
cloth of RWL-1.
The frame
----------
Natural wood is used for more natural sounding and better matching
for interior.
Furutech is using a plastic for the frame.
The construction
----------------
Although the design of inside acoustic system is same, the materials
used for the construction is quite different.
The density and the specific gravity of foam materials used for RWL-2
are much higher than RWL-1.
For your information, there was the same story for A/Revive's power
distributor RTP-6evolution and Furutech's RTP-6E:
http://www.furutech.com/produ_2.asp?ProdNo=124
The out-looking is very similar, however, the chassis of Furutech
RTP-6E is made by cast metal in China, while A/Revive's chassis was
cut out from the mass of Duralumine.
Furutech is producing similar products as other Japanese manufacturers
(such as A/Revive, Oyaide, Audio Replas, etc), however, almost of
Furutech products are made in China or Taiwan(As Furutech is a company
based in Taiwan).
If you compare actual products, the difference is very clear.
Best regards.
