Hurwitz har alltid så bra åpninger på anmeldelsene sine:

"When orchestral musicians miss a note or botch an entrance, it's called a "mistake". When conductors screw up, it's called (as likely as not) "interpretation". While it helps to have first-hand experience of podium misfeasance, astute listeners often can tell when the conductor controls the orchestra, and when he's basically out of his depth. The fact is, podium incompetence isn't nearly as rare as you might think." (Ivan FIscher, Mahler 4., vet ikke hvorfor han starter en 10/10 på den måten.)

eller denne

"The cover of this CD shows Leif Ove Andsnes, hands clasped before him, communing with his muse, eyes closed, an expression of intense concentration on his face. The pretentious pseudo-profundity is ominous, and so it proves. If there's anything I can't stand about performances of Classical period repertoire, and Haydn in particular, it's when an artist pokes at the music instead of playing it. These are the wimpiest, shallowest, most tastelessly coy versions of these pieces ever recorded." (Andsnes/Haydn - 2/9)

og selvfølgelig klassikeren

"This is a disgusting performance." (Simon Rattle, Schubert 9. - 2/8)

Og Tavenerstykket: "But solo billing goes to 87-year-old Welsh countertenor Minas Tirith, who is literally making his singing debut with this recording. Tavener specifically chose Tirith, whom he discovered humming to himself in the loft of a West Country church six months prior to the recording session, because he found his voice's "indeterminacy of pitch and unclassifiable tone color perfectly suited to represent God--a voice never before heard.""
