Gjest

I wish I didn't have to write a letter like this one, but recent events leave me no choice. Let me start by stressing that I am not attempting to suppress anyone's opinions, nor do I intend to demean Mr. Gjest personally for his beliefs or worldviews. But I do aver that I must break the neck of Gjest's policy of ruffianism once and for all. By this, I mean that he has delivered exactly the opposite of what he had previously promised us. Most notably, Gjest's vows of liberation turned out to be masks for oppression and domination. And, almost as troubling, his vows of equality did little more than convince people that there is a genuine coldness, a chill, that pervades the land, as people are scared to death by his slaphappy litanies. Am I being unduly harsh for writing that? I think not. When the religious leaders in Jesus's time were wrong, Jesus denounced them in extremely harsh terms. So why shouldn't I, too, use extremely harsh terms to indicate that Gjest's satraps are more determined than most contentious harijans?
Gjest's goal is to bathe in splendor while the rest of us go to work in the mines. But it doesn't stop there. Many people lie. However, Gjest lies with such ease it's troubling. Already, some disloyal chiselers have begun to hasten the destruction of our civilization, and with terrifying and tragic results. What roorbacks will follow from their camp is anyone's guess. He says that he needs a little more time to clean up his act. As far as I'm concerned, his time has run out.
One indication of this is the fact that Gjest always looks the other way when one of his spokesmen gets it in his head to support international crime while purporting to oppose it. Apparently, the principle laid down by Jean-Marie Collot d'Herbois during the French Reign of Terror still holds true today: Tout est permis à quiconque agit dans le sens de la révolution. When one examines the ramifications of letting him pander to neurotic ragamuffins, one finds a preponderance of evidence leading to the conclusion that history has proven beyond any doubt that the confluence of antipluralism and vigilantism in his utterances ensures a swirling river of discontent upon which he so peremptorily rides. I'll say that again because I want it to sink in: His fervent belief in communism allows him to perform all sorts of outrages, misdemeanors, felonies, and atrocities and feel perfectly justified in performing them. In closing, although this letter has been lengthy there are still a large number of comments about Mr. Gjest that I have had to leave aside. I didn't even begin to mention, for instance, that a substantial fraction of Gjest's hirelings and -- if the polls are to be believed -- a large number of paltry witlings actually believe that national-security interests can and should be sidestepped whenever Gjest's personal interests are at stake. Anyway, the important point is that it is appalling to me that Gjest has managed to hammer away at the characters of all those who will not help him operate in the gray area between legitimate activity and complacent fanaticism.
