Jeg sendte mail til Isotek vedrørende Isol 8 som også har et produkt som heter Minisub. Her er hva Isotek skrev tilbake vedrørende Isol8:
Isol-8 is basically a copycat company, and their MiniSub2 is a copy of the
Mark 1 Mini Sub (from IsoTek).
Here's the full story if you are interested:
Thank you for your email.
Originally there were three main people in IsoTek, one of which was
responsible for laying out PCB circuits. The other two had ideas, ran the
company, marketed the product, effectively did everything else.
The person who laid out the PCB attempted to put the other two out of
business and take the designs, names etc for his own, but these are
worthless without 'vision'.
There is a saying, 'imitation is the sincerest form of flattery'.
IsoTek was not put out of business, the original two launched 'GII' a range
that dramatically moved beyond what was originally achieved, and funnily
enough a company called Isol-8 put a 2 on the end of our product names!
We are currently taking steps to re-name to avoid confusion, and create a
visual identity that is virtually impossible to imitate without a lot of
expense. We are currently launching something new every month!

information.
All GII product is rigorously tested across many situations, and we truly
believe that it moves way beyond what people have come to expect for power
management systems. All of our product maintain the integrity of the music
and performance, which is something many other mains filter manufactures
have learned.
All original GII IsoTek product is quite different, and should not be
confused with imitations. It is the GII Mini Sub which was reviewed in Hi-Fi
News and is unlike anything else on the market, Isol-8 or otherwise.
Tony Bolton first reviewed the old Mk1 Mini Sub, but when he tried our new
GII version commented,
"I have used a Mark 1 Mini Sub as part of one of my systems since I reviewed
it because I felt it made a significant improvement to the sound of a Hi-Fi
when compared to that of direct mains. I feel that the GII brings even
greater improvements, to such an extent that I would urge any Mark 1 owners
to visit investigate the retro-fittable upgrade at a cost of £275."
If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
Kind Regards,
IsoTek.
