    Ikke glad Electrocompaniet help

    Hey

I have an electrocompaniet aw-65 that after transport , doesnt work anymore.

i ve changed fuses and still the same, no light on it, totally gone.

i understand sometime must have hapened in the power connection but i dont really know.

Anyone have any ideas on what to do? is it expensive with the power parts?

    Thank you

First of all. Have you measured that you got power in to the amp?

If so: It sounds like that you have a problem in the power supply-part of your EC.

    Where do you live?

Probably a solder connection loose after transport. The "expensive" parts like power transformer or power output transistors probably ok.
Have an experienced service person look at it. Best Regards Bernt.

See if there is any loose wires in the power supply. Beware of the condensators. They can give you a unpleasant surprise, even when the amp is not connected.

If you cant find any obvious problem yourselves, i would advise you to send it to either Electrocompaniet in Stavanger, or Per Abrahamsen, the man behind EC, in Lillestrøm.

I don`t think that it will be that expensive.

The company to call, would be ECS Holding, situated in Lillestrøm..Mr. Abrahamsen currently designs components bearing his own name there. At the same time, service and support enquiries regarding previous EC models also can be carried out, by some of the guys who designed them in the first place.
If I were you, I would definitely have them give it a thorough once-over...
