From the strange little girl in the backyard, to the store clerk who's smile threatens to rip apart her face, to the blood splattered walk-in refrigerator, there's something that's just not right in this small Canadian town. "There Are Monsters" was an official selection of the 2008 London Film Festival.

Litt mer alvor. I 1969 snek den 14 årige Beatles "fanatikeren" Jerry Levitan seg inn i hotellrommet til John Lennon i Toronto og fikk dette intervjuet: I Met the Walrus

38 years later, Levitan, director Josh Raskin and illustrator James Braithwaite have collaborated to create an animated short film using the original interview recording as the soundtrack. A spellbinding vessel for Lennon's boundless wit and timeless message, I Met the Walrus was nominated for the 2008 Academy Award for Animated Short.

The Director Jeff Chiba Stearns decided to visually self-reflect on his own filmmaking journey by animating 2,300 on sticky notes. Blending hand-drawn images and text with an original musical score by Genevieve Vincent, this "animation meditation" played in the official competition at the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival.

Chronicling his life from childhood to the present, "Thoth" captures the spirit of an individual who has made personal freedom his occupation. Directed by Sarah Kernochan, the film won the 2002 Academy Award for Best Documentary Short.
