"RE: MFW-15 and the humming fix!
I am making this as more of an FYI as I have not found this information anywhere else on the web in they way im typing it, and I definitely wanted to share with the fine people here.
Below are the instructions that I have used to fix the AV123 onix MFW-15 hum fix. I went to the electronic store and purchased all mentioned items for ~$10 and it was all that I needed. I have soldiered before and am fairly confident in doing so, but I went on the youtubes for a quick tutorial on how to replace capacitors and IMHO it was pretty easy. Total time including taking apart the amp, replacing the capacitors, and reassembly probably took ~15 total. I had purchased 2 of these subs and had them both done in no time. I tested and they are perfect and ready to go. I do believe tho that I will purchase the Turbo upgrade when i get the green to do so as it doubles the power and increases the response time... alas its $400 to do so.
I really hope this helps someone that has one sitting around that would love to be using it right now. Best wishes and feel free to PM me for questions.

\\\Here are the instructions minus the small image of arrows pointing to which capacitors need replacement.
Notes of Caution 1. Don’t attempt this procedure if you don’t know what you’re doing. You could further damage your amp, or yourself. 2. We are not responsible for any damage that may occur while attempting this procedure. 3. Do not attempt to run this power board while it’s not installed on the amp back plate. 4. This procedure is for version 2 amps from AVS123. Parts needed for the repair – The voltages are a bit higher than those install currently to allow for higher tolerance. 1 x 22uF 160v @ $.60 2 x 470uF 35V @ $.39 ea. 1 x 1000uF 35v @ 1.17 1) Remove the amp from the sub using t-20 torx bit driver. 2) Remove the power supply board from the amp plate. It is attached with 2 small Phillips screws and 1 Phillips screw with nut. 3) Disconnect the 4 connectors from the board. They are typically glued on, so this may be tough. Take your time. 4) Locate, de-solder, and remove the 4 caps shown below. Note their polarity (side of the cap with the stripe indicates negative), so that new caps can be installed in the same fashion. 5) Replace with proper corresponding Capacitors. 6) Attach the board to the amp, making sure the PCB doesn’t contact the amp plate. If the insulation is degraded on the edge of the board, further insulate with electrical tape. 7) Reconnect the connectors to the power board, then reinstall amp into the sub."
