Jeg tenkte at jeg skulle slå et slag for det nederlandske plateselskapet STS Digital: http://www.sts-digital.nl/
De produserer noe av det mest vellydende materialet på markedet. Noe av det de gir ut er egenprodusert og annet er remastere av kjente klassikere. De aller fleste er samplers og ment som demo skiver ved hifi shows etc. Likevel er dette så vellydende at det absolutt er verdt å kaste seg over det og man trenger egentlig ikke være redd for at musikken ikke er i fokus likevel. Det er ikke snakk om "pling plong" musikk, men ordentlige klassikere.
Ken Kessler fra HiFi News skrev om en av deres utgivelser:
"When handed CDs at shows with equipment makers' names on them, I usually expect dull-it-worthy audiophile drek. This CD, its theme being that the source material is analogue, is collaboration between Blumenhofer Acoustics, purveyors of intriguing horn systems. Their taste in music includes tracks from Shawn Colvin, The Stranglers, Paul Simon, Dead Can Dance, Eva Cassidy, Paolo Conte, Lightnin' Hopkins, Ofra Haza and others of that calibre, in a package that, if issued by any major label, would be praised for assembling such stellar artists and material. Becuase it arrives wth sound quality to die for, it's a 'must have' if you are tired of 'worthy pabulum'. Go online and do whattever it takes to get a copy".
Kalman Rubinson fra Stereophile skrev dette om en annen utgivelse:
"Dunno if it's "The Ultimate," but this is one of the most wide-ranging and fascinating demo discs around, and no mere sampler of other releases. The first track is one of the best-sounding jazz ensemble recordings I've heard, and the rest of the 11 musical tracks are nearly as good and equally as interesting. After that come sound demos that include drums, hand-claps, motorcycles, drag races, a steam locomotive, and a small library of roaring aircraft sounds. The feature common to all tracks, whether musical or mechanical, is the natural ambience in which each sound exists, which adds an element of reality beyond the immediacy of the main event. It all ends peacefully with bird sounds. A guilty pleasure in 5.0 channels."

Jeg har alle utgivelsene til STS Digital fra de siste ti årene i hvert fall og kan skrive under på at absolutt alt de gir ut lyder himmelsk.
